Spring Time

Spring time is the best time to lime, fertilize, seed & aerate your lawn. Don't know what they do? Lime helps level the PH in your lawn. It should always be around 7.0. Fertilizing helps to keep the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in your lawn to help it grow nice and green. Lime will also help your fertilizer along. Aerating your lawn helps it breathe, and helps loosen up the soil. If you don't know the levels of your soil, you can have it tested, or do it yourself. They sell for a few dollars at your local Lowes or Home Depot.

Other things on the "to do" list:
Trimming your shrubs and trees not only helps keep their size and shape, but also aids in helping them breathe and from being crowded.

Mulching is usually done around this time of year. The color of the mulch you choose can bring out the other colors in your home, plants, and trees, making your lawn look beautiful.

Stoning can be done in the place of mulch, if you don't like mulch. There are many different colors of stone to choose from. As with mulch, the color you choose can bring out other colors of your home, plants, and trees.

Ha! Snow Time

Here is a driveway I plowed. It was really fun playing with the plow. LOL. Of course I had to shovel too, which is also fun, and keeps ya in shape! Salting and the sun helped the process of drying before the sun went down. That way there's no ice to slip on. By the time the sun went down, the driveway and walkway were completely dry. Customer was very happy.

Mulchin' Time!

This was another mulch job we did last Spring. We pulled a few plants, bushes & trees out, and replanted new smaller plants so that they weren't so crowded. This was before we did anything.

This is after:

Spring is coming!

Spring is slowly creeping around the corner on us. I can't wait for all the colors to come back. Here is a job that we did last Spring. This transition came out very nice, and everyone was very happy!

Lawns! Lawns! Lawns!

Here is a lawn that I took care of last year. The customer was very satisifed with the results every time.

Tip#1: Never cut your grass in the same direction.

The reason for this is because the grass will grow sideways instead of up. Cutting the same direction pushes the grass down from your mower. Then each time you mow, your grass won't rise up to be cut, it will lie down.

Each cut should be cut a different direction or pattern.

Excited about the Spring season. The flowers bloom, the grass turns green again, and the temperature outside is awesome - it's time to play! Love the sound of the wind blowing through the leaves on the trees. Everything is so colorful again.
